Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania (CAWP) has created three new apps and an online game which focus on construction related activities and objectives in a fun and creative way. Reinforcers is a rebar tying game where players learn and practice the basic methods for three different types of rebar ties. Excavator is a game that lets you practice the skills needed to operate real machinery, while navigating puzzles. Traffic Control is another app whose purpose is to "promote careers in the highway construction trades and to educate the public about safely navigating highway construction zones". On the CAWP website, a new virtual highway construction pre-apprenticeship program is available to play. Future Road Builders takes you through a virtual highway construction project, while mimicking what it would be like to work as a real apprentice. These games are available for Androids and iPhones, and can be downloaded from the App Store. Click on the links above for more information!
