White Mountain Community College is joining NHCCD and bringing two of their brand new virtual welding machines which are part of the newly renovated Advanced Welding Lab, made possible by a $1.6 million dollar grant from the US Department of Labor. Please stop by and check them out next week....you don't get to see those everyday! For more information on the new Advanced Welding Program and state of the art welding equipment - click here. This year we are handing out career booklets to students and chaperones at NHCCD. This informative takeaway contains a list of exhibitors, basic event rules, a fairgrounds map and descriptions of many construction related careers. The booklet will serve as a handy reference for the students, their friends and parents after the event. Click on the photo to the left for a final pdf of the booklet! A BIG thanks to all the companies who sponsored this effort by purchasing logo spots which helped to cover the costs of making these booklets. If you are interested in helping us expand on next years booklet, just email Meghan Theriault with your ideas. Thanks to Mike Long at McFarland Johnson for helping to fill a last minute void which was bringing a consulting company to the table to discuss careers in Civil & Transportation Engineering to students.
Only 13 days until this years event!!! We are still getting last minute exhibitors!!! Big thanks to Jamco Excavators LLC, they will have large display with several pieces of equipment to demo including a 10 wheeler, bulldozer, loader, excavator and cement pumper from Tuff-crete. Tree Care Industry Association will have info on careers in in the tree industry, training, and safety. NHDOT- Bureau of Materials and Research will have info about pavement and soils with an engineering focus. Michie Corporation will be joining us again this year and possibly demonstrating their tuck mounted crane to build a RediRock Wall.
